A street food thela in Andheri West wanted to become a restaurant — without losing what made it a thela. The brief to MWS: “Make it look like the thela came inside.” We built everything from the name up.
Bambai Bites

- Script Lettering. Hand-crafted retro script with bold cream-gold fill and thick dark outlines — the sticker treatment makes it feel tangible, loud, and collectible. Direct translation of thela hand-painted signage.
- The Mascot. A smiling burger character with animated eyes and a thumbs-up — equal parts cartoonish charm and street-food pride. Versatile across packaging, social media, merchandise, and in-store POS.
- Sparkle Details. Star-sparkle accents within the lettering add energy and playfulness — a nod to Bollywood poster aesthetics without being literal about it.
- Brand Underline. A curved gold flourish beneath “Bites” mirrors the smile of the mascot — a subtle emotional cue baked into the typography itself.

Bambai, not Mumbai. One deliberate word choice that signals insider authenticity over tourist-facing branding. The brand’s cultural position was locked before a single visual was designed.
In delivery-first QSR, the box is the only physical brand touchpoint. Every surface across 7 packaging items was designed to be photograph-worthy. The unboxing is the ad. The box is the campaign.
